We, the Tanzanian living, working and  studying  in South Africa, Inspired by a common determination to promote unity and cooperation, shoulder the responsibility of development and cultural identity in response to aspirations of the Tanzanian people, here in the South Africa and beyond, firmly and solemnly resolve to unite members of the Community in promoting good moral standards, social, cultural, economic , educational and professional development and to expand and enhance relationships and cooperation in activities beneficial to all members hereby constitute the Tanzanian Community in South Africa

  1. To bring and unify Tanzanians who are living, working, studying and visiting in South Africa.
  2. To improve social, economic, educational and cultural activities of the Tanzanians.
  3. To protect integrity and dignity of Tanzanians.
  4. To bring together all Tanzanians in order to solve their problems and challenges.
  5. To boost and showcase Tanzanian skills in the community.
  6. To complement other public efforts by supporting educational, social, recreational, environmental, and cultural enrichment activities that serve the needs and interests of children, youth, women and public at large.
  7. To create a forum for all Tanzanian groups and organisations in the Republic of South Africa to achieve common goals and perform such actions as are necessary to achieve these goals.
  8. To collect and distribute information about topics of interest to the Tanzanian community and provide a public forum for members and non-members to express their opinions.
  9. Facilitate and promote cross cultural understanding and integration on the basis of cultural diversity and promote the social inclusion of different communities by offering opportunities to participate in social, cultural, educational, training and decision –making activities
  10. The protection, preservation and the promotion of Tanzania culture, so as to maintain the Tanzanian culture
  11. To advocate respect for human rights and any other form of discrimination against Tanzanian and society in general
